Global host Digital A Decade On session at Ad Week Europe 2016

We had a brilliant time last week at Ad Week Europe, hosting our ‘Digital: A Decade On’ session – a platform where we held a panel debate on whether the industry is making the best use of creativity in Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH).

The panellists debated the current health of creativity in DOOH, how creative agencies view DOOH, if clients understand the creative opportunities and how personalised the campaigns should be.  Head of Product Revenue at Global and stand-up comedian, Neil Pummell, did a fantastic job of chairing the session and the panellists were: Alan Brydon, CEO at Outsmart, Sarah Sutton, Joint Head of Strategy at Mindshare UK, Rowland Manthorpe, Associate Editor of WIRED, Nicole Yershon, Innovative Solutions Director at Ogilvy and Dino Burbridge, Director of Innovation and Technology at WCRS.

We also used the session to announce the winner of our Creative Idol competition. Participants were tasked with creating a proposal for a DOOH campaign for one of our interactive pods at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City. The best campaigns were the ones that used the technology available, in an innovative yet simple way, to engage consumers – and the winning idea from Grand Visual and Rapport with their Kung Fu Panda III proposal did just that.

The fully packed session was a fantastic success and a great end to Ad Week Europe 2016.
