And the Oscar goes to...OOH!

Hollywood’s award season has been and gone and audiences were excited to see how some of their favourite films fare. Throughout the year these Hollywood favourites have used our iconic Out-of-Home (OOH) platforms to promote their films - many of these being 2018 Oscar (Academy Awards) nominees.

37 of the top 50 grossing films in the UK used Bus advertising in 2017. We’ve seen the ‘Darkest Hour’ advertised throughout the UK on our T-sides, and ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘The Shape of Water’ were advertised on London Bus in the year leading up to the Academy Awards - all of which have been nominated for ‘Best Picture’.

London Underground is another popular film promotion platform; 81 of the year’s top performing films used our formats in 2017. It’s here we have seen the likes of ‘Call me by Your Name’,which has been nominated for ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’ and ‘Best Picture’, and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’, which has been sweeping up awards in the lead up to the Oscars and has been nominated for ‘Best Picture’, ‘Best Actress’ and ‘Best Supporting Actor’.
